We are called to freedom, to abide in God's Spirit, by our knowledge of Him, through faith in Jesus Christ. In this way we learn to engrave upon our heart a character that reflects the perfect love of Jesus Christ. By much practice and study, we learn, and strive, to abide perfectly in His Spirit, so that in this physical realm, we declare this spiritual reality. We aim to walk in daylight, without blemish, transparent in our desires. We declare that we see God, and so we are conformed into his image, rejecting the pattern of this world. Thus, abiding in Christ by faith, we enter in, moving from faith to faith, until our faith becomes sight.
We seek His Spirit, not by means of our obedience, but by faith, believing that God has opened this door for us, to go in, and out, and find pasture. I seek revival, because I daily seek the end of my faith, the appearing of the Lord, Jesus Christ; that seeing Him face to face, I will be as He is. This is our ultimate goal, the prize for which we contend. We seek this transformation, daily, by the power of His Spirit, seeking to come into His presence, by faith. We seek the presence of God that we may become one with Him through faith in Jesus Christ.
The baptism of the Spirit is the down payment, and deposit, of this which we continually strive: the end of our faith. Our journey’s end, the destination we seek, the focus and aim of our lives is Holy communion with this living God. Having found this treasure, we sell all we have-because there is nothing on earth that compares to the presence of God, that we may continually stand before him. This is living on purpose. Having found the throne of grace, we go out that we may bring others into God’s presence, to worship in Spirit and truth. We bring others in, not by our deeds, but by the Spirit of God, who lives in us. This is the destination of the church; to be led by His Spirit.
