Do you have a Testimony?

A Christians without a testimony of what God is doing should take a serious look at their life. Perhaps we're lukewarm, complacent, or even dead. In 1 Corinthians 15:2 Paul warns that it's possible to believe in vain, if we don't hold firmly to the word of God. Our testimony will always reveal what God is doing. Our testimony comes from seeing God. We take what we have seen and heard and work out our salvation in fear and trembling, always striving to see more and more of God. If we don't see , or hear from God, then we aren't walking with Him, and we risk hearing Him say, "depart from me, I never knew you." Our testimony isn't about what we've  done for God, but what God is doing in us, by the power of His Holy Spirit. Our testimony is that we have seen, and heard, Him. Our testimony is about what He has done in us. We make our way through life following the hidden desires of the heart, which manifested for all to see. When our heart is far from God, our life testifies to this fact. When we see God, and desire more of Him, this will also be revealed.   Nothing can remain hidden in the heart, because it manifests itself before the eyes of all. Nothing is hidden, everything is being laid bare.

Our testimony must always be current. It's not about what happened years ago. So what, if you rejoiced when you heard the gosple, if you fall away when life gets hard, because you have no root. This is the testimony of many, not that the are beliving in Christ, but that they believed for a while, and then fell away. If our testimony isn't one of ongoing faith in God, faithful unto death, its a testimony of a passing fancy. If we have stoped taking up our cross and following Jesus, it doesn't matter what prayer we said in the past, the prayer doesnt say us, faith does. We should not rely on that prayer as proof of our salvation. Jesus says, "Be faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life." It's not about what we've done in the past, it's about what we are doing now. It’s not the case of having been saved, but of being saved. We cannot rest in our salvation because it is not complete, we are waiting for its completion. We can rest in the author of our faith, because he is faithful to complete it, He says, woe to that servant who is not watching when his master comes. Many have lost sight of their purpose and calling. Does your life testify that you've found so  great a treasure, that you sell all you own that you may obtain that treasure? This is the journey God calls us to. We must lose our lives for Him. Do our lives testify that we are on that  journey?
