Epic is about Expercing Power In Christ
God is calling His Church on an "EPIC" adventure, to a work that's waiting for us, through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are called to live by faith, going where He leads; as we find our place in His Church , doing the work we are created for; to edify, encourage, and build up one another "until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." Our journey of faith is our testimony, of God working in us, to the praise, glory, and honor of God... or it's to our shame. If we want to stand as a shinning City on a Hill, it will be because we begin to focus, and pray, for the things which matter most. "Do I want revival?" Do I want more of God? Our prayers, or lack thereof, deterime our testimony. What we want most is being revealed. The Church must experience revival, or we must endure judgement. Epic, is a call to action. This is our journey, this is our testimony, We are, "The Church."
“Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and those who hear you.”
1 Timothy 4:16 NIV
Experiencing Power In Christ
What does it mean?
What does it mean?
Jesus overcame the world, and so can we. We can experience victory over sin and partake in His divine nature, but we must take up our cross and follow Him. We're on a journey, and our destination is God Himself. If we fix our eyes on Him, He will lead us into new life. Through our knowledge of him we take part in His Divine nature. Our vision is of God Himself, through faith in Jesus Christ. "As we look on Him with unveiled faces, and a steadfast gaze, we become His reflection." He creates in us a new heart, as we walk in step with Him, seeking first His kingdom, we experience His power being transformed into His image. Like Israel, coming out from slavery in Egypt to worship God in the wilderness, our journey requires faithful obedience. If we hold onto His word we will gain a testimony of that freedom which comes from holding onto the truth. We are His Church, temples of His Holy Spirit. If the church will shine in the darkness it will be because we abide in Christ! Just as a light bulb cannot produce light without the electric passing through it, we can't change the world through our own strength, we must experience God's power to do it.
"It's not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit," says the Lord."
